This position specializes in the identification and treatment of children on the autism spectrum. The position is split between the multi-disciplinary team in our Autism Center, autism diagnosis and treatment in the Department of Speech and Language Services.
In addition to the requirements, we are looking for candidates who possess the following:
- Minimum 2 years experience with children with autism spectrum disorders, in both diagnostic and therapeutic contexts. - Certification on and minimum 1 year of experience using the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule. - Experience working as a member of a multi-disciplinary medical diagnostic team is strongly preferred
Requirements include a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university; certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA); and Washington State Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Must have experience in pediatric diagnostic or treatment settings. Experience working in a Pediatric Hospital and knowledge of a second language is preferred.
